How do you guys get rid of a bass line in a sample? Most of the stuff I sample has funky bass lines that clash with my programmed bass line.
Right now I use a paragraphic EQ and cut the low frequencies, then sample it a again and try to build up the low end of the sample again. The problem with this method is that some basslines are audible at like 4khz to 6khz. If you cut all the frequencies below 4KHZ that sample sounds tinny and weak no matter how much compression, gates, eq you use.
I'm willing to buy a plug in or a program to remedy this bassline problem. Any suggestions?
What do you guys do to get the bass out?
