Scarface: The World is Yours, the video game based on the classic movie, is coming in Fall 2006.
We want to find the hottest unsigned music act to feature in the game's soundtrack, and everyone on MySpace has a say in who it will be.
The group who wins will get their song included in the game and win a trip to Los Angeles to perform at a high profile event during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) for over a thousand people including an elite group of music and entertainment executives, celebrities, tastemakers, press and fans. In addition to the winner, the 2 nd and 3 rd place artists will also be brought to LA to perform at the same event.
There will be two rounds of voting. In the first round, MySpace users can nominate a musical act by entering their MySpace profile link in the space in the box under "Nominate a Band Here." Please note that only bands based in the US and Canada are eligible to win, and only one nomination is allowed per MySpace user profile. Nominations will be accepted until 11:59pm Pacific Time on March 7.
The 200 artists who get the most nominations will move on to the second round where a panel of music and video game industry judges will determine the 20 finalists. On March 20 th, tracks from the 20 finalists will be posted on this page and voting will be open to all MySpace users to determine the final winner.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are looking for music consistent with the Scarface theme... Think Rap/Rock/80's/Reggaeton/Latin... no slow jams. This should be music that gets you fired up and tracks Tony Montana would be proud of. ONLY ARTISTS BASED IN THE U.S. AND CANADA ARE ELIGIBLE TO WIN. See official rules for additional details.
