got an issue maybe someone can clear up for me, after i sample into my machine(mpc 1000) i assign to pad , standard procedure,,,, after which i play the sample back and it does not play the whole sample ,it kind of cuts off the end at its own will, although it will play the whole sample when pad is hit a couple times in a row, by that time the sample sounds like mudd and the method is not consistent , this happens sequence or not, mono or poly setting , iam quite confused, i woud imagine it is in the setting of the machine some where, but after a bunch of reading and searching iam still lost, any assistance and information would be greatly appreciated chukk. Hmmmm I'm not sure.. Did you sample the sound direct into the mpc1000 or did u put it on your compact flash card from your pc?? Sometimes when I drag long samples into cf cards on my pc and load them up on the 1000 the sample gets messed up...but I usually works if I drag it to the cf card again.. But from what it sounds like you might be having some RAM issues. Chances are if you sampling direct into the 1k and this is happening its bad RAM. My advice is call Bruce Forat at www.forat.com and tell him the prob,he will know for sure..and tell him Soundsforsamplers sent you. |

thank you, for the info^,, unfourtunatly after turning the thing on and messin around with it again i find the problem only occurs when the drum sequence is playing, when stopped the whole sample plays, does this change you thoughts at all ^^ or still a ram issue.

hey i was just wondering if anyone can tell me what is the biggest size lap top hard drive (in gigs) you can install into a mpc 1000?
and does anyone know of any links that show you how to install the bracket and hard drive into your mpc 1000?
