i sample from records through my dj mixer thats goes into my bigger mixer which goes into mpc's inputs. i have the volume all the way up on both mixers when sampling but the samples are still way too quiet, i boost the db to 12 and its still quiet. how can i amplify the sampling, should i use different wires for the inputs on the mpc, i use rc jacks from the mixer to adapters that are on the mpc. or should i get a new mixer? or what [thescript]

From the Mpc tricks amd tips page at www.soundsforsamplers.comTip10"Normalizing sounds on the mpc2000.(Boosting the db)"
Have you ever sampled something too low on your mpc2000 or Xl,and when you go to drop it to the board the signal is not loud enough, and you have it turned up in the mixer...
Ok go to mixer and set...see ware it says 0db...well highlight it and you can boost it up 15 db

Dont do so much routing. Just connect your turntable to the dj mixer and take the outs from the dj mixer to the Record in on your MPC. Check your input signals before even recording.
Connect your MPC outs to the In on your other mixer.
If you are still having trouble your RECORD IN inputs could be getting weak.

forgot to give an update...the reason i had connected it through two mixers was because it was ridiculously low..bearly audible..I figured out that what i thought was wrong was... i was using regular rca jacks with Phono-to-stereo Adapters for the record in/output on my mpc. I ordered a pair 1/4" stereo to rca gold plated wires and my samples are so much louder......incase anyone else comes across the same problem...
