yo i got a keyboard and the midi cable and i just wanted to know how do i go about connecting it to my MPC2000, is there more than one way to do it? i wanted to know if i there was a way i could play one single sample on different keys on the keyboard(at different tones)?

Not on the old mpc2000 unfortunately. The mpc200xl has this feature ,its called auto chromatic assign,and is located in SHIFT plus PROGRAM plus PARAMS then hit AUTO. |
