What it do ya'll...When I record vocals in Flstudio XXL, the recorded wave file is broken down into a crapload of 4 second .wav files. Has this ever happened to anyone here? If so, can you please let me know how to fix it?? I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong. I've read the tutorials many times and I don't see how I'm set up any differently. Thanks...

I don't use FL, but it sounds like you have the "fruity slicer" on or something like that.

are you recording songs in fruity loops??? I say just make your beats in there and then load it up adobe audition 1.5 and record your vocal tracks in there.......fruity just don't cut it for vocal tracks man........get yourself a multitrack software my suggestion is adobe audition 1.5........

I have Cubase LE but, man I'm just barely getting to know the ins and outs of FLstudio XXL yadadamean and the rest of the equipment and software I have. I just don't know if I have it in me to start learning Cubase now on top of everything else. Shoot, I got a Yamaha MO8 that I still haven't figured out lol...

damn if you just started out.....cubase is gonna be a tough software to tackle alot of people say it's easy once you get used to it but it came with my soundcard and I could not get used to it I just went with adobe audition 1.5 and I learned everything in about a month.........all vocals are recorded in there edited and everything........

I use FL for making my beats, but it's best to get a seperate application for recording raw waveforms. FL is good for throwing shit all together, but right now it's wave editor is extremely lacking. I actually use SoundForge for any recording and then throw that into FL...

yeah, man...f**k FL for vocals, it's just not a good program for that.
Like other dudes have said, get Adobe Audition 2.0...it's simple and effective...Cuebase is obviously a better program, but is also mush harder to use...I'd suggest getting some outside help with that, the few people I know that use Cuebase learned how to use it in school. I feel you on learning new programs. the shit strips you of your creativity when you are constantly trying to just figure shit out and not making progress. My advice on this is to get a different program for vocals though. You'll be happy you did it in the long run after you figure it out.

what's up with this instant shit?? can't cats take time to actually LEARN the ins and outs instead of i want to do it and i want to do it now...slow down cat...when you master audition or cubase or protools then you can record the fire (with the right plug ins of course!!!) but definatly, definatly take the time and PATIENCE to learn...remember nothing that is great is instant and nothing that is instant is a classic....don't worry grasshopper when your prodution skills are well rounded so will your traks

there are plenty of tutorial vids out there for every program that will show you the basics of how a program works, take the time to watch one learn the basics and then be creative
