I just wanted to point that DJ Premier is hiphop beats in the purest forum.. Everytime I need insperation all I need is to listen to Primo beats..
Im sure some will disagree, but NO one is f**ken with Premier .. He has the ability to make the simplest beats sounds SOOOOO good..
I had to take a time off from beats (and not by choice) but it was Primos beats that made me want to make beats when I was a small kid,and it funny thats its Primos beats that still give me the insperation to make music and power to fight the strugle to get into this bitch ass music game..
No one is f**kin what that man there..

Co-signed...f**k the haters. You can give the same samples to ANY other producer, and Prem will murder them. That's that dude. He's the one who got me into making beats as well actually. I used to freestyle/record over old premo beats for the f**k of it, then I got into actually writing cohesive 16s, and eventually got into the whole production aspect. I always wanted to capture that sounds that he has...that grime, the way he cuts his samples, the way his snares pop...I mean, dude is a BEAST. You can rap forver over ANY beat hes ever dropped.
On a side note...did anybody ever check Premier on that Christina Aguillera joint? He gave her some HEAT...I may recieve some flack for this, but I thought the album was a good album...Even the track Prem didn't produce...That girl can sing, put her on a Prem track & you got straight hip hop/soul at it's finest.
word up, I could go on about Premier all day...so I'm done for now.

It's hard for me to hear a sample and not want to chop it with a similar style to Preem.
Nine times out of ten Preem will get your head rockin. It almost doesn't even matter who's on the mic.

Yo premier is NASST i grew up on his shit to.. He was always my favorite producer.. Im from New York so all the underground cats was always up on his shit even to this day.. but Nowadays i think i would have to give my props to My man Pete Rock over Primo.. im sorry to say.. and i know ill get cats arguing but i notice Pete Rock toook it to the level as far as beat makin that Primo hasnt take it to.. and i believe that is in the progression and structure of his music.. and yet he somehow keeps it simple.. if anyone wants to argue that let me know.. cuz all ill say is make sure you listen closley to pete rock and remember he releases joints with no rappers just him and his joints be hot.. and so on that note.. primo is no doubt the man and had mos def had a huge influence in me in my music taste.. but i now look to pete rock for my inspiration.. i have really studied his sounds.. especially how he mixes shit.. he is a Tru Master.. by the way download that song "tru master" with pete rock inspectah deck and kurrupt.. thats just a lil taste.. anyway im just rambling on.. holla back Peeps much peace and love! lataz!
PS No one is seing my man pete rock.. PerIOD primo just got stuck in one area and never grew or progressed and took it to the next levellike i wished he did.. pete rock on the other hand moved towads that direction.. i believe.. and also another another cat that aint never growing was alchemist.. can i get a witness?? LOL peace

fam.. you're definitely on point with that.. i stay rocking "Moment of Truth" the entire album Above the clouds, moment of truth, the entire album's a testament to how ill a producer can be, when 100 % focused on the art.. dude finds some ill ill ill loops.. chops em the hell up..the drums always crazy! he's sick! sick sick man I just wanted to point that DJ Premier is hiphop beats in the purest forum.. im wit u on premo.....it's kinda of unfair though cuz dilla is dead....J-dilla does it for me, but hes no longer with us......i personally would give a slight edge to dilla, but u cant lose either way...dillas samples are just as melodic and often more ambient......i came up on premo so noone can tell me he ain't top 3 of all time.....but on the sample tip the only one who could give him go all day is dilla, and a close second pete rock........
