I've been through the forums, and I've RTFM'd so many times I can recite it word for word. Somethings just not working in my setup. I've watched Sparqs video but still nothing. Here's the deal:
I have an MPC1000 BLK, Korg Kontrol 49 keyboard controller (which has midi out A and B, and Midi in on the back), and Reason running on a Powerbook G4. In Reason, If I pull up for instance the NN19 sampler, I can trigger the sounds using the pads on my mp. However, I am not able to play the keys of my Kontrol49 over a beat in my MP. And, when I do trigger reason using the pads of the mp the sound doesn't play back through my monitors. It plays back through the powerbook speakers.
What am I missing? I'm figuring it's gotta be something very simple. I have everything hooked up correctly per the manual, but I cannot play Reason sounds into my mp. What the heezy am I missing?
When you respond please talk through the setup in detail. Thank you all in advance, I greatly appreciate your help.

A couple questions, I think I can figure it out.
The Korg Kontrol is just a midi keyboard right? If it's a synth, you need to make sure the mpc is the controller, not the keyboard. Make sure also to match up the transmitting/recieving channels on the keyboard to the MIDI channels on the MPC. If it's just a midi controller with no sounds and you want to control it from reason, you gotta match up the keyboard out-channels with reason in-channels instead of the MPC, then match the reason out channels with the MPC in-channels.
Since you can trigger the NN19 sounds on your MPC, that means that the midi out of your MPC is going into the midi-in of Reason. Are you recording your track on Reason or on the MPC? Do you have a mixer too? If so, you should deffinatly get an 1/8 inch of your powerbook and plug that into a mixer channel with a 1/4 inch, or if you have a soundcard that you are using, make sure the audio settings are set to the soundcard on the Powerbook instead of the internal speakers. But the 1/8 inch way is honestly the easiest.
I dunno, I kindof need more details as to what you're working with and how it's plugged in, in-out wise. That MPC1000 manual sucks (waaay outdated for the new operating systems). Hit me back.

I have the same setup almost. I have Reason 4.0 and a oxygen v2 15 keyboard m-audio. I also have my fast track and my macbook. I just bought the mpc2000xl. I didnt hook it up to my set up yet. I am waiting for some sounds from this website. Than i would be able to rock and roll. But it reminds me of my self when you said that the sounds are comming from you built in sounds from the computer. Go to perference and than sounds. Change the settings in sounds to your sound card or interface. Peace
